These names are not conducive to establishing Quebec as an inclusive or culturally-sensitive province. If that is the image we seek to project to the world, then the names of these natural sites need to reflect that progressive philosophy

As a Canadian I am ashamed that in the 21st century that the use of these racial slurs are still allowed to be used; even worse is Quebec's attitude towards the place names. They need to be changed.

Such terms are intolerable and have no place in the vocabulary of humans in the year 2015 in the twenty-first century. The language has evolved and such terms have been relegated to the archives for reference only, not for everyday use where they continue to offend, denigrate and hurt. Change the names now!

Whatever their origin , these uses of the term nigger are an insult to the black citizens of Québec and therefore to us all, and should be removed or replaced immediately.

It is shameful that a petition needs to be created. These signs should have never gone up in the first place nor left up this long. Take down these signs NOW!
