We, the undersigned, do attest that we are registered members of the Republican Party.
We humbly request the Republican National Committee (and all affiliated groups) consider and act on our petition as stated below:
We petition that Senator Lisa Murkowski be removed from all of her committee assignments and Republican Party designated roles in the Congress of the United States of America.
We further request, that should she be elected as a non-party write-in candidate on November 2, 2010, that she be restricted from receiving any Republican Committee assignments or roles.
Her act to begin a write-in campaign which was launched after losing the Alaska Primary on August 24th, to Joe Miller, is not in the interest of the Republican Party or nor is she supporting the will of the Alaskan voters. He choice to continue in the General Election of Alaska as a write-in candidate is not as the duly chosen Republican Party candidate and does not serve our common interests. The Alaska Primary Election represents the will of the Alaskan voters. Let this petition reflect their views on Senator Murkowski's actions.
Respectfully those signed below:
The primary results were a clear signal from the voters that they want a new path yet the party leadership remains unmoved. I am spending my time coordinating with local organizers to ensure the national committee hears these grievances directly. We cannot allow someone who abandoned the primary process to retain their standing within our conference.
September 23, 2010
Seeing this level of support confirms that Alaskans are tired of politicians who ignore the results of a primary election. We have created a movement that proves our party deserves candidates who actually respect the will of the voters.
