I just spent an hour reading through everyone else getting stuck in those miserable lobbies just for playing the game like it was actually designed to be played which is honestly just wild to me. It feels like we are being punished for actually having a little fun or defending our own cars from people who just want to cause chaos and honestly I do not know why anyone thought this was a good idea in the first place.

I honestly cannot believe how many people are experiencing this same frustration because it really feels like the game is punishing us for just playing the game. Seeing all this momentum building up makes me think maybe Rockstar might finally actually pay attention instead of ignoring us like they have been.

The correct punishment for players who leave missions and chains is already in place: They don't get the rewards for completing the missions. The Bad Sport system encourages players to both have less overall fun by being pigeonholed into doing parts of missions they don't like and by forcing them to take up more time than they had originally planned on some mission lines. If the system is NOT removed, the menus and UI have to be reworked with a much more intuitive leave system that doesn't punish players between/shortly after beginning a mission.
So my brother left a mission mid game because the only other person with him left mid flight in a Jet. And because of that he got bad sport, and now I can't play with my brother? This is GTA, A game about being a thug who kills and robs just for the sake of it. Restricting that is pointless and ruins the game so much. GTA online was released broken, and with each fix rockstar make it even worse!
