I am petitioning for the immediate removal of all street traffic cameras in Dade County, Florida. In Miami Dade County we have been continuously surveillanced by these cameras at traffic lights in an effort to negate our rights to privacy. There have been no studies shown to prove these lights have lessoned accidents, instead more and more drivers become increasingly paranoid and nervous behind the wheel while driving on our city streets. Residents in other states have made similar petitions and have won their case. This petition is to put an end to the abuse of power Miami Dade citizens and residents have to encountered through the use of these devices especially for ticketing purposes.
