No matter how old my kid is? This ISNT funny! I love my pets like family - but I'd NEVER prioritize them over my son calling me for help! ESPECIALLY after hurting themselves! Heck, she doesn't even know how bad the damage IS! What if it needs more than a bandaid?! (Like if he fell on asphalt - alcohol & peroxide? HELOOOO?!) As a normal human being? This made me double take the first time I saw this ad, as I had to make sure I heard it correctly - & I DID. & as a mom? It made me literally gasp in disgust. Child neglect ain't funny - it's abuse.

My fiance and I agree EVERY SINGLE TIME that this despicable commercial airs that this bs is far from funny or entertaining. I don't care. So I'm urging you all to watch the main shown!Ewll))and

Without even knowing this petition existed I contacted them via their contact page to directly message them this: Firstly, Please make sure this reaches management. As I’m up enjoying breakfast with my wife and my 6 year old son. The Sheba commercial where: the child is calling for his mom and she ignores him twice - even after saying he was bleeding - and she simply rather stayed with her cat, truly made my heart fall straight to my feet. Your attacking family by challenging “the love of a mother to her child.” We are in need of loving examples - always first starting with family, but this commercial directly opposes that. You don’t know how hard it is to maintain a family - even a half decent one - you don’t know what it is like to never have met your father and have lived in numerous women’s crisis shelters because of intense violence against your own mother. You don’t know what it’s like to grow up in government housing as a non English speaking immigrant and navigate yourself into a middle class professional life with SO MANY lessons learned. You don’t know what it’s like to build your own path as a father where no example ever existed at all. Being a teacher now many of my students are in need of loving and caring parents - and yes those gaps exist as we are having parent teacher conference not for student behavior but parent behavior we observe during zoom meetings. I navigated past all that - but today’s children have a new foe - “pets”. It’s not a joke and not a passive conversation during your zoom meeting happy hours. Please help our country heal rather than separate it at its core. Our families.

I find this commercial VERY offensive. The idea that a mother would ignore her injured child to cuddle her cat should not be encouraged.
