I have created this petition to hopefully play a factor in raising awareness of the general dissatisfaction to producers such as Frank Marshall felt by the film adaptation of A:TLA. Please note this is not a petition of hatred directed towards Mr. Shymalan nor his casting choices. I am well aware that films are a collaborative process, however said director also wrote the script (which was sorely lacking in any of the thematic material that lead to an immensely enjoyable television series). Therefore Mr. Shymalan I wish you the very best of luck in whatever else you endevour to direct/write/produce. However the fans of A:TLA (e.g. Imdb, Rotten Tomatoes) have spoken and decreed your particular interpretation terrible, and I personally believe that you should exit this particular franchise with some grace while you still can.
