Google owns Youtube. The video ridiculing Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is hosted at youtube, which in recent days has caused widespread unrest in muslim world and attacks at USA's interest across the world . Google has recently stated that they have blocked access to video in countries where local laws do not permit (India and Indonesia). However, they do not block content that is not targeted against an individual. It is important for google to understand that every muslim considers respect of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) more sacrosanct than his / her own respect. Hence, better understanding of any moral / legal code, including Google's own, should lead the company to realise that any content ridiculing the Prophet should be immediately blocked. In a certain way, google is also responsible for the widespread anger and the resulting damages to property and life. This petition calls on google to immediately block the said video and stop any future posting.
