These things are a nightmare. they do nothing to "calm" the traffic..They made a charmng neighborhood look awful..and worse than that - I have almost been hit on more than one occasion by people driving like crazy through these things. What a terrible decision.

Speed bumps and more stop signs would greatly improve the speeding problem on Palm Avenue going towards the swing bridge. The round-abouts are laughable. You barely have to turn your steering wheel to go straight through them. Speed bumps and stop signs would've been much more cost effective too.

Please remove these unsightly chicanes. This is a historic neighborhood and the chicanes are detracting from that. The do not slow down traffic. The one's on Himmarshee have already been run over nad the signs knocked down. Furthermore, the City has not done a very good job of maintaining them as they are all overgrown and full of litter. Speed bumps are much more effective and less intrusive.

I can't back out of my driveway! Many people fly through them/don't understand to switch off. I have seen three heated argument erupt outside, feet away from my window over whose turn it was to go through them. I can no longer walk my dog after work because my street does not have sidewalks, and now the chicanes do not allow enough room for pedestrians to travel on the street while cars are flying down them. I have to walk through my neighbors front yards just to be out of the way of traffic. It has been an utter nightmare and has made me look for other places to live. Not to mention they are ugly AND they have taken up room where we the neighbors and guests used to park!

I don't understand why they did not put speed bumps like everyone else. Now we have these ugly eye soars that don't even slow down traffic.

These eyesores need to be removed immediately. They take away from the historic aspect of Sailboat Bend. Fire Rescue is hindered by them creating a highly unsafe area where First Responders are hampered in meeting emergency needs. They have done nothing whatsoever to "CALM" traffic. In fact, speeding and traffic issues have only gotten worse. Likewise, the two roundabouts on 11th Ave (Palm Ave) are also useless. I have seen our vaunted FLPD swing around them at higher speed than is allowed. They do not deter speeding at all. It is time to install speed bumps on Himmarshee, Middle Street, Las Olas, and Palm Avenue.

I just don’t understand why they didn’t install crosswalks, stop signs at a lot of the intersections, speed bumps, etc. these things are ugly and I have almost got hit several times over my the swing bridge on 11th by the park area due to all the people coming down 11th thinking they have the right away and they fly around it so fast to get in before you. These things are a total waste of money!!

A useless idea and and an eyesore, Speed bump "cheaper and more effective", fleecing of the city as always, I know the city needs to waster $, at least create something nice with our money!!!

Very strange and confusing, not helpful and unattractive

Yes please remove those horrible creations. People speed to get there first, it’s ugly, it takes away from the historic look of the neighborhood and there are better and less intrusive as what’s currently built.

They are ugly and useless. 90% of the speeding cars down Middle Street were police cars before, and they are still speeding now. People don't understand how to use them (or choose not to understand). The cars back up and there are times of the day it's nearly impossible to leave our home.

Not only is all the extra signage a huge eyesore that takes our neighborhood from looking like a cozy residential street to a clustered commercial area, these chicanes are also useless in terms of slowing down traffic. People still speed and are often stuck in a dangerous game of chicken with other cars. Total fail.

Speed bumps and extra stop signs would be great for reducing traffic. Also please be mindful of where the speed bumps go i.e. do not put them where someone has to back out over them.

A total disaster. Speed bumps would be safer and better to calm the traffic

Those chicanes make our neighborhood look ugly and it doesn't stop people from speeding.

As a Resident of Sailboat Bend I was in support of traffic calming devices in our neighborhood, however the design of the Chicanes was never disclosed. Unfortunately they are not working and add visual clutter to our neighborhood.
