Another concerned parent from another district that has implemented Summit. I like the idea of the petition.

Me and so many other students used to love and excel in school, but now with Summit everybody dreads it and are receiving poorer grades. I don’t think it’s right to keep a platform like this that induces so much stress and anxiety. Kids should be excited to learn, but how can we be excited when we’re not even taught properly? The focus areas are unnecessary and we were told we could work at our own pace but throughout the school year we are constantly being rushed. It makes procrastinating and cheating easy. A school district should want and strive for what’s best for their students, and with all the feedback they’ve received, Summit is clearly not what’s best. Fairview could be such a great school if it wasn’t for the platform.

This pedagogy lacks the fundamentals of having a strong educator work in a classroom using creative teaching techniques. Using a computer in the way the Summit Learning platform works is unconscionable and as a resident, I have not heard any good about the platform from both students and parents.

We will move before our boys get to middle school if Summit is not done away with. I work in public education, and am heartbroken that this is even taking place in the district where I live.

So...despite the pleas from parents and students for THREE YEARS, the board has renewed the Summit contract YET AGAIN. They are not listening, they don't care, and they do what they want regardless of what the community thinks. The entire school board has to go, along w/Bill Wagner and Melanie Wightman.
Summit was the worst thing I had to deal with in school. I was a 6th grader when they brought it in and it sucked.
summit is ass
I am a student using summit learning and I apsoloutly hate this program. I'm not even apart of the Fairview Park City district.
I HATE SUMMIT!!!!
Stop letting the wrong people dictate what, when and how our children need to learn.
