The Swieqi Local Council cannot keep ignoring the chaos they created on Triq l-Ibrag while our streets turn into a death trap. This massive wave of support proves that residents are done with their bureaucratic incompetence and we are not backing down until this absurdity ends.

My family uses this road approximately 4 times a day. I don't mind the traffic because i expect it, and it is by far better than taking the alternative roads. If a solution is to be found, it should be the road that is widened. There are so many expropriation of property for better traffic management, so why not this one? One way is no option!
I think you havent consulted Swieqi residents about this....what about making it available for us only....going home after work would be easier for us.....the real problem - which you havent solved - is thse heavy vehicles still going through!

Heavy vehicle traffic should be extremely limited if not forbidden and for the possible few that would have to be allowed to use it i.e. heavy vehicles servicing nearby garages/warehouses/dwellings etc that enjoy no other road access, to be limited in size so as to ensure passage when oncoming traffic is present and/or to have the owners/drivers of said permissible vehicles apply for a special permit for each and every trip they intend to make though that route and before attempting said passage.
It causes lots of traffic and problems for us residents to enter our own locality

It is a huge inconvenience for the residents of Ta' l-Ibragg and Swieqi having to go all the way to San Gwann to get home via Swieqi Valley. An option would be to monitor the big trucks passing through there as they clog the road, but two normal cars travelling in opposite directions have no problems getting through. Vikki Stivala- 551962
