Lincoln with a downward gaze, with a Jesus-like gesture over the black man as if he is his messiah. Regardless of the intended message, this is not something a black child should look at to see where they stand in the scheme of things. Actions and postures speak louder than words.

This statue exhibits the same amount of disrespect and racism as some of the more obvious. Please honor our request, it’s just one of many important steps the city of Boston and show that it cares about ALL of its citizens. Black Lives Matter
