This statue is deeply disturbing to me. I can only imagine how traumatizing it is for Black people to see it. Please remove it immediately!

I have friends in Boston. White friends. No one has ever mentioned this statue and I hadn't heard of it until now. It DEFINITELY has to go. Listen to Black Americans. They are not asking for anything outrageous. Create a special museum if you must, but take this down.

This statue does not represent equality. It may have been created with that in mind but that message is not seen & cannot be promoted in a society of freedom & equality.
