This is a disgusting, dehumanizing statue that glorifies the White Savior so we can pat ourselves on the back and pretend our history isn't revolting. Unacceptable, remove it.

How can anyone with a mere piece of a brain not understand that this statue is wrong? It is disgusting, degrading, hateful and is part of the very reasons that black people continue to have so much adversity on a daily basis. TAKE THIS DOWN!

This statue is an embarrassment. It does not speak to the reality of Lincoln's freeing of the slaves (not an entirely altruistic choice) or of the equality promised to freedmen.

I once saw this stutue on Boston's Park. I said to myself, " hmmm that's strange." I even took a picture of it. Knowing today it is being removed, it is nothing, but, a CLARIFICATION to my concern(s). President Lincoln was not racist and/or a slaver owner, I believe. If Lincoln rejected this evil practice of slavery, why he still on his knees before President Lincoln? Freedom= Standing up strong and high. Emperor Jean-Jacques Dessalines did define FREEDOM already in 1804.
