I love Tory’s idea of taking this statue and others, and putting them in a museum called “Crazy Stuff that White People Used to Believe In.” Brilliant! It takes them out of a space where people can too easily adopt their racist messaging and places them in a space that reminds us that racism is real.

This statue does not demonstrate equality and freedom but rather highlights and PRESERVES the lack of equality that used to exist. TAKE THIS STATUE DOWN.

Let's pay artists to create new statues that glorify the accomplishments of PoC! Stimulate the economy, contribute to the arts, and do the right thing :D
