Smith says he wasn't disparaging people with mental illness. He WAS disparaging the player and his family. I'll bet Smith is Republican

Stephen A is a loud mouth phony. You come out with a PSA about mental health then make fun of someone who retires for that reason. He should be ashamed of himself. ESPN has terminated employees for less controversial reasons than this man has been allowed to continue to be employed by ESPN and you reward him with outrageous contracts. He is not worth that money!

He's a disgrace.. I heard in his book (ghost written) he said he was in therapy after she died... so either remove him from tge Air, or let Lane Johnson decide his fate... I say a 3vround MMA style fight between them, although the thought of seeing S.A.S Without a shirt on is a crime by itself!!

He's a disgrace. This is a time where mental health needs more advocates not judgements. He needs to go.

Mental Health is serious and to be a public figure head and minimize it deserves you to be canceled. Actions have consequences

We are not talking about turf toe. This is Mental Health. For once ESPN, do what is right. Remove this man from your service. It's really simple, if you don't you are condoning an on air personality to freely mock an All-Pro who has been open and forthright with his struggles with Mental Health. From this Severely Mentally ill individual I implore you to take immediate action. In solidarity with all who have battled and been FORTHRIGHT with their illness. Smith does not qualify. Ethics.

I’m done with Steve A Smith and until ESPN fires him I won’t be watching anything on ESPN. I’m done watching this pathetic loser chastise everyone else but himself.

I heard the nasty comments Stephen À. Smith made today about Lane Johnson’s retirement from the Eagles as a result of mental health issues. They were not necessary and malicious. Lane has been very courageous in share his anxiety and depression issues over the years and Mr. Smith was not supportive and what he did was underhanded. He should be made to publicly apologize to Lane.

He is a washed up idiot just trying to get views by being controversial. I have lost all respect for Smith! His views on Fauci was the last straw. I’ve supported ESPN for over 40 years but no more. Cheap hosts that rely on shock TV is not the answer.
