Remove Starbucks Tattoo Employee Policy

This would be a nice change. I have a tattoo of the boys and girls club logo after working there for 5 years and it's sad to think that people can't see the support I have towards such a great program. I think people would rather see a tattoo than a band aid, bracelet that can fall off into coffee, or a long sleeve shirt that causes the Barista to perspire on hot summer days in the humidity.

This is discrimination plain and simple based on skin color. I would like to remind starbucks that many people have tattoos for religious and spiritual reasons which turns it into religious discrimination as well. My suggestion is that they change their tattoo policy before they end up getting sued for discrimination. By the way I am a partner and I do have to deal with this discrimination on a daily basis which makes working in a close and very hot environment extremely uncomfortable.

I feel people shouldn't have to hide who they are their body art is just art doesn't mean their mean or bad people we shouldn't judge people on appearence.

Tattoo's alone should not define a person.Good customer service is what matters. I've had really poor service from an individual without tattoos many of times whereas I've cannot remember ever been treated with rudeness from anyone that had tattoos.

As long as they are giving awesome customer service, that's all that matters!

I think the no visible tattoo rule is crazy bc every where u look someone has a tattoo so I feel that Starbucks should let there people show there tattoos and it is true that tattoo are a conversation starter!!!

I am also a tattoo barista and this would be great to get a chance to be ourselves and express our body art. Our body art has a story behind what we have been thru, survived etc.

I feel that tattoos can be a conversation starter. In todays world they are not abnormal and people should get used to the fact that others like to express themselves. As long as the tattoos are not offensive, I see no problem with them being shown. Also, in the summer time or when it is hot out, being fully dressed from head to toe really makes an employee sweat and be uncomfortable during their shift. please consider this!

I understand if its a tattoo of nudity or one that could possibly be offensive... but having a tattoo is art and its not something to be looked down upon...

New barista partner. With wrist tattoo what says love. How can that affend anyone. I have to cover it up with at wristband.
