I watched Spera torture my daughter almost from the beginning of her first year there. He was so happy to get her and then. I thing was good enough!! After reading everything I have read from students and parents, he doesn’t belong around children or teachers!

As a former student of MSMHS, Nick Spera made going to that school absolute hell. It seemed every day his mindset was if the students did not turn out to be exactly as he was, they would go nowhere in life. That is no way for any child to feel in an educational environment.

I have heard through the grapevine that this guy is really bad to students, and is crazy power hungry about treating kids badly.

My daughter Rachael has emotional scars from Dr. Nicholas Spera, unfortunately I didn’t address this when it was going on-I truly wanted to believe in Spera as a great leader and giving our children the best advice, direction and positive criticism if needed...realizing now that I should of listened to my daughter and my housefuls of schoolmates that spent so much time here as I lived within a mile of the school! Anyway-so much to say-if you need me to speak to anyone-I’m all yours!! Rachael too!

Spera was very abusive and if you didn’t agree with him he would call social services on you to try and stop you from not agreeing with him. For proof look up claim with social services claim against me. They said how he handle this was totally wrong and they should never have been called. I also would like to see legal action against him and make learn pay for all the abuse he gave to his students and families.

Cared nothing for the school and all focused on how the school would influence his own vision and his own future. Cared nothing for my senior class except those who were popular or had parents that would praise him beyond any fault

As a former educator and teacher at NLHS and as a mandated reporter, I feel this man has no place in this position or anywhere in education.

I will never forget the way he humiliated me in front of my peers and turned my friends against me

Let justice be served for how he treated his staff and making them feel so insignificant and scared to speak up for fear of losing their careers—and more than anything justice for those students who he clearly bullied into submission and the lasting damage to them. No child or educator should ever have been made to feel that way.

Results at all costs. The means justify the ends. Teachers, parents, and students alike were either bullied or threatened if they didn't give it their all towards whatever result was the goal at the time. Whether it was state test scores, NEASC, or making the newspaper, results were king.

For all the students who didn't get the respect, care and safety a school should provide.

Spera believes he his above accountability and should never be allowed as a educator. I am a graduate of 2016 and of the many encounters with Spera this was the worst. Junior year Spera along with the resource police officer (from Groton PD) of the school illegally took and withheld my drivers license from me over a long weekend. This made it so that I had no ID and was unable to drive due to threat of arrest by Spera who noted that “Groton Police will see me driving and arrest me” my parents immediately became involved and considered legal action if the license was not returned. Luckily the threat of legal action and a note from my doctor stating I was able to drive led me to regain my license. I never received an apology and was a constant target for Spera after that.

called me the “most negative person in the school” as i was walking in the building for PICTURE DAY, all because a person in his inner circle didn’t like me. that is just the tip of the ice berg for all of the things i’ve witness him do to students/staff. he CANNOT be allowed to work in the education system.
