Remove Pride Flags and Pride-Related Books Containing Sexual Ideology from PEI Schools

(Similar to Alberta’s Bill 25 – An Act to Remove Politics and Ideology from Classrooms)

We, the undersigned parents and residents of Prince Edward Island, believe our children’s schools must remain focused on education — not political or sexual ideologies.

Pride flags and many “pride-related” books introduce sexual ideology (including explicit content on gender identity and sexuality) into classrooms and libraries. This is inappropriate for school-aged children and undermines parental authority.

Alberta’s Bill 25 already protects students by removing such flags and ideological materials so schools stay neutral and focused on core learning. We ask PEI to do the same.

We petition the Board of Education to:

• Immediately remove all Pride flags from school buildings, classrooms, and grounds.

• Review all school library books and instructional materials and remove any that contain sexual ideology or explicit sexual content.

• Ensure all classroom instruction and displays remain neutral, age-appropriate, and free from political or ideological promotion.

• Strengthen parental rights by requiring parental notification and consent for any topics involving sexuality or gender identity.

Our children deserve protection from ideologies that belong at home — not in school. We want safe, academically focused classrooms that respect every family’s values.
