My granddaughter is a freshman at Augie, and till now I have proudly worn my hat and shirt announcing the fact that I am Augustana Grandparent!
Please have the sense and gumption to do the right thing, and get rid of this fraternity fraught with a continuing sexist nature!

The culture surrounding the Phi Omega Phi fraternity has always been negative. These are not unfounded beliefs. It's time to make the group own up to their mistakes instead of letting them continue to make the students (especially women) of this campus feel unsafe and uncomfortable. Greek life as a whole is held to higher standards. There should be no exceptions even if your advisor is the director of Greek life (which is the largest conflict of interest I have ever heard).

I dated a guy at Auggie a few years ago and he was involved in Greek life and used to tell me about the issues with this fraternity. Please protect your students and not rich donors.

Nobody should be forced into this situation. My niece is a freshman and deserves a safe environment while furthering her education.

Would it be a bad idea for students to stage a demonstration during a visit day? That would be sure to send a message to both potential students and the administration.

Poobags will recieve a new pledge class tomorrow, which means they will have another group of young men to influence the way they think and their values. Obviously the guys that decided to rush poobags had no problem with the slide shoe(which is exactly what the problem is)
If the school allows the poobags to keep their pledge class this year, they are showing that they do not care about women, specifically their safety and the piece of mind that they are safe.
Administration has allowed this to go on MUCH to long. How many times do the poobahs need to be on the local news before Augustana gets the message? Most likely it will be when it reaches national news, and then Augustana will try and look like they have been proactive this whole time.
Poobags are the most responsible, but administration should be held as responsible. Lack of action for 4 years (if not more) is absolutely ridiculous.
If administration does not remove Phi Omega Phi from campus and/or allows a new pledge class to enter poobags, I believe that administration should be charged will all future sexual assault and sexual harrassment.
Augie has some great lawyers I’m sure, but if action is not taken, I absolutely will do everything in my power for this to make national news (which I know for a fact is exactly what they’re looking for)
It’s your choice augie,
1) kick off the scum bags and possibly lose a few poobags alumni donors
2)allow this to continue and tarnish the reputation of Greek like as a whole for incoming students
-and most likely end up on national news
As an alumni, I will never donate money to the college while the poobags are on campus, unless they truly clean up their act (stop drugging, raping, exposing, sexually assaulting, and degrading people)
BUT administration will probably sweep it under the rug again because they really only care about making money, not their students welfare. Despicable.
Administration should be extremely ashamed and NEEDS to d

The Title IX issue has been going on for too long and clearly Augustana or Ken Bril don’t give a damn about the victims surffering.

This is absolutely horrible and terrifying as a parent of a student that attends Auggie! Do better Augustana

As an Alumni, this sadly doesn't surprise me, but if it is not seriously addresses, the school would lose a lot of my respect.

Mysogynistic behavior cannot be tolerated, by allowing people to continue this behavior without consequences is irresponsible and perpetuating hate

As a 2015 Augustana and Greek Life alum, I am disgusted to be related to this at all. As a sorority member, I felt safe and respected at any fraternity function except POP. Don’t perpetuate this vile behavior that supposedly goes against your values, Augustana. It’s been happening for decades with this ONE GROUP.

As a former student at Augustana, and one who was around in the earlier reported events, I am disgusted to hear that these actions have not only continued but have gotten worse without formal action taking place.

I am an Augie alum who is embarrassed to say they were a part of Greek life. This was going on when I was there and continues now. I refuse to donate to a school that condones this behavior.
