Remove "Of the North" from Museum of the Moving Image film festival & Other Film Festivals

This film is racist and exploitive.

Canada can do better, and has done better. Discussion in words or images that excludes the voices of people being discussed, is not discussion at all.

In order to move forward with First Ppls. Society should stop any type of racism towards First ppls. Thru courts broken treaties are the same as contracts. The self proclaimed canadians love being here on treatied or unceded lands. So honer First Ppls or courts will remove the colonists.

My traditional food is not vomit! It sustains me as it has my ancestors for generations. Not only is it nutritious, the value of sharing it keeps our families strong! Can't say that about artery clogging poutine!

This is a deeply disturbed/disturbing film by a filmmaker who, by his own admission, has no knowledge/experience 'of the north' and yet, behind the pretense of artistic freedom, feels justified to UTTERLY disregard the social, political, cultural and economic context of what he pertains to be engaged by - let alone how his film relates to the current context of TRC findings, public inquiry etc.. Clearly, this has NO ethnographic or anthropological value at all and the filmmakers attempts to make such claims are baseless.

Gagnon should--and will--be ashamed of his disregard and disrespect. My gratitude to everyone bringing this to public attention.

This is crap, the moment anyone plagiarizes someones work they should be removed from the industry they are in.

I feel so sad that people take advantage of others like this.

Please focus your energies on high quality art and not on this racist tripe. If you court controversy, then ethics oblige you to permit Inuit to be part of that dialogue and you will be convinced of its ignorance and low caliber.

I believe that this film portrays indigenous people in a demoralizing way and perpetuates the injustices against these incredible people. What is more important is how indigenous communities feel about this film and how it detracts from their culture.

it is not right to show any films like this about any Nationality it is down right disgusting to put these people down and very very DISRESPECTFUL...
