Remove Milkweed from Noxious Weeds List in Manitoba!

Shocking that milkweed was EVER considered a 'noxious weed'! If we lose pollinators due to loss of plants they depend on, we're endangering our food supply

The widely distributed Showy Milkweed should not be considered a noxious weed. Please remove it from the list.

Monarchs, and eventually us, need all the help possible. Give them a fighting chance to survive. How they go...we go.

I grew up near Toronto and there is so much milk weed and monarch butterflies! One thing I truly miss I loved playing with the caterpillars and watching them make cacoons!

If the plant is an issue for livestock, then measures undertaken by the farmers will have to suffice... However, this plant is a main food source for Monarch Butterfly larvae and should NOT be systematically eliminated with funds from the public purse.

Milkweed is not a noxious weed. Please remove remove this label for the sake of Monarch butterflies in Manitoba. Thank you.

Its ridiculous its even on their list considering whats happened with monarchs. You would think they would have already done so with so many people planting it now.

The noxious weeds are less an issue the GMO's. GMO's are what is helping to kill off our bees. Leave our native plants alone!

I grew milkweed many years ago in my garden. We had many pods hanging on the bottom of the wood boards on our house and got to see nature transform those pods to beautiful Monarchs. I would plant it again if I could get some seeds.

Please remove the milkweed from Manitoba noxious weed list. It is the only source of food for the monarch butterfly. Thank you .
