Remove Leena van Deventer from Victorian Women's Trust

This is degrading and disgusting language to use about anyone for any reason - any incitement to violence by a board member should be a sackable offence. But for a leader of an organisation dedicated to the protection of women to say this about a female survivor of child sex abuse is so totally abhorrent, there is no way she can remain on the board

The comments are offensive and totally unacceptable. If The Victorian Women’s Trust has any regard for women - particularly traumatised women - this person will be removed immediately.

This behaviour is not in keeping with the spirit or beliefs of the The Vic Womens Trust , hence this person must be removed from its board .

Leena van Deventer has no place in services for vulnerable women. Woman means ONLY Adult Human female.

Anyone spouting such abhorrent abuse at a traumatised survivor of childhood sexual abuse and rape should never be near vulnerable women. What a truly vicious, cruel and calculated attack on a women trying to overcome trauma. Van Deventer should be removed immediately - I can’t believe a petition is even needed for the Victorian Women’s Trust to do the right thing….

Leena must be removed from this position as she is violently advocating on behalf of men who feel they are women rather than actual women.

God what a terrible thing to say! What is WRONG with her?!

Biological females in power with internalized misogyny that they project on women abused by biological males seldom show their true colors so clearly as in this situation. The internalized misogyny is sad, but when it rears its head so publicly it must be replaced through a female capable of compassion toward those women who have been oppressed in our male dominant social system which nobody can deny we still have.

What a truly disgusting thing to say about a victim of child sexual abuse.

Displaying enormous hatred and contempt for women should exempt anyone from a position in an organisation purporting to help women.

I can't believe this woman is still on the board. As a girl and woman who has experienced sexual violence I'm horrified that the Trust thinks so little of wome like me.

Disgraceful behaviour attacking a rape victim, publicly stating she hopes the victim is assaulted. She must go.

Any person who says a rape victim should be spat on, should not be on the board of a Women's organisation.

Only a person with a mental illness would wish harm to a person with a different point of view. This woman needs help. She is unfit for the position she is in, she needs removing immediately.
