Remove Irish Cancer society Advert - "I want to get Cancer"

Its hurtful

This ad is viewed by children who have been through the trauma of watching a loved one die from cancer. Having gently tried to 'mind' children during this process, I find this ad confuses the issue for children in particular. ICS need to think of surviving siblings for example who don't need this kind of 'reality' back in their lives.

Really would like this ad removed.

This is not having the effect of bringing awareness but rather of causing upset and distress. A poorly executed campaign.

As a Mother of a child lost to cancer, I find this add campaign very offensive and upsetting.

Have lost both my parents within 6 months of each other. My children miss them both just as much as I do.. Now when my children seen this on TV, they asked me why does that ad say "I want CANCER".. But nanny and granda died from cancer.. It's absolutely disgusting and inappropriate. Please remove this from all advertisements.

I turn it over the min it comes on. After loosing my grandads, granny, mother in law and sister in law I find it too destroying to hear or watch. Also the statement itself is dabling with the power of attraction in ways I don't even want to comprehend. Stupid statement... stupid add

This ad is very insensitive and poor taste, no consideration for families going through such a difficult time on their lives and for lots of people that have lost loved ones, it is so not fair, very poor wording

We find this ad very offensive my mam died of cancer and when my children saw it they were so upset, it's a disgrace horrible take it down.

As a teen cancer survivor this advert in my opinion is horrible and insensitive towards anyone who has had to deal with cancer!!!

As a cancer survivor this ad sickens me, don't care what message ye think it gets across, it make me cringe , hate it hate it hate it.

All of us have been touched by cancer and we have always responded positively to any requests for charitable donations or financial support. The least I would expect from a cancer charity would be that they prudently use these funds to aid research or help the victims of these conditions. In my opinion I think that using our donated funds and efforts on this vanity project is irresponsible and quite frankly sickening. Everybody knows that cancer is a serious problem that needs to be addressed - so why spend millions of hard earned cash telling the public what we already know ? It adds insult to injury.

Bizarre and appalling. Who on earth passed this? Get it off asap.
