I have already written to the Irish Cancer Society about this appalling ad. I have cancer and I find is the most disturbing campaign I've ever seen.

Appalling. My sister just buried her sister in law yesterday! my hubby his sister 6 months ago.did the idiot who came up with this shock tactics campaign ever stop to think about how devastated real people feel.How does this help?

I have thyroid cancer and my grandmother recently passed away from cancer. This ad has upset me and all my family, particularly my 4 children who have heard it

People dont understand this ad and because it upsets thousands it should be taken down. It hasn't worked. But i think a lot of people misunderstand the meaning of 'get' here. People in the ad are not saying they physically want to get cancer, they want to 'get' it, as in get rid of if. Lots of people saying why would you want to get cancer, but that's not whats meant by the ad.
