Playing on words is all very clever in the right context.....the monster that is cancer and that is destroying so many lives is absolutely NOT the right context!

I find this really insensitive as someone who had to watch a loved one die from cancer as well as see my husband endure a year of hard cancer treatment. Please consider our feelings and remove.

Ovarian cancer stage 3C. Recurrence. I have enough of cancer. I do get the concept of the advertisement, but still words: "I want to get cancer"... Be careful what you are wishing for... Noone wants to get cancer!

No wants to get cancer.
We need people to understand it. To know how to avoid the ones that are avoidable. To have great doctors and medical teams helping them this the medical aspects. To know their family is well looked after and supported. To have faith that charitable donations are well invested in research, care, rehabilitation etc.
The ad agency only answered a brief ... the brief was wrong.
My girlfriend has breast cancer. She has had chemo and radiotherapy. She had a double masectomy and a full hysterectomy. ... her 12 year old saw the ad and burst into tears. Why would anyone want this????

The ICS should be ashamed of themselves. No need to use shock tactics to raise awareness of cancer. There are other ways that should incorporate empathy & compassion rather than using fear.

Whoever put forward this wording for the campaign does not have any family or friends affected by cancer otherwise they wouldn't have been so insensitive and disrespectful towards ill people. Totally inappropriate and has to be removed. Apologies should also be made to everyone suffering from this horrible disease.

Really cannot believe the marketing dept in The Irish Cancer Society could get something SO WRONG. what a slap in the face to all those suffering and have lost loved ones to this awful disease. Disgrace. Advertising standards should not have allowed it either. Cannot believe it is still getting air time, shamefull

I find the add very distressing, I actually feel sick when it comes on, I lost my mother to cancer when she was a very young woman.

It's a stupid add. For most of the add u have people looking to get cancer it's at the end u realise what it's about. Who thinks of these .
