American athlete Gwen Berry made the U.S. Olympic team over the weekend and quickly showed why she should not be on it. If she does not respect the flag of the United States of America so she should not be part of the the USA Olympic team. The Olympics are not about your race but about the country you represent and if you are not proud of that country then maybe she should move to a different one!

The amount of feedback pouring in shows that many of you still believe our flag and our anthem deserve basic respect. I am looking into the proper channels to formally submit these concerns to the committee because representing our country is a privilege that should not be taken lightly.

Seeing this level of support for my position on the national anthem proves that I am not alone in my frustration. It is deeply validating to see so many others who believe that representing our flag requires showing it proper respect.

If she can only bring herself to represent a portion of America and not the entire country then she shouldn’t be on the AMERICAN Olympic Team.
She disrespects everything Olympians from the US are supposed to represent. She disrespects the country and therefore the Olympic spirit.
She needs to move out of our country if you hate it that much you are not a slave and you have never known a slave just get over it
This girl is an embarrassment. She doesn't belong with our athletes. Enough is enough. Go find a disgruntled athletic team and join that let them support you and your ridiculousness. Shame on you.
Get her off the team. If she can’t support the flag she shouldn’t be on the team.

Its time to take a stand against the traitors of this country. Things can not get better if ignorant people keep living with resentment over things that happened 150yrs before we were even in diapers. We arent responsible, they might want to be mad at their own people for selling their slaves. Black people was selling other blacks as slaves in Africa. That should be their first, and only enemy. Not America, the country that gives them handouts after handouts and support them forever.

I am Afro American & served in US Army. If doesn’t believe in United States why did she sign up to represent the US if she has no respect for our Country.
