No Airplanes, No Fence In Open Space

Noone wants an airstrip or a hideous fence in the open space of Ken Caryl where residents, including children, use the trails for recreation purposes. This is both a ludicrous idea and land grab by an out of control homeowner and we ask Jefferson County to stop the madness!

Jeffco, time to step up and put an end to this landing strip folly and remove this ugly fence that is a blight on the area open space.

I live in the Ken Caryl valley and I oppose this use of public land. An easement does not allow the extreme construction of private fencing and airstrips!

I am vehemently opposed to both the fence erected on public land and any airstrip on that land located in a suburban neighborhood. The dangers to both human and wildlife are obvious. Please take action and have ihe individual responsible return the valley to its original state and cease and desist in his efforts to land a plane among our homes.

My understanding is the property owner has a non-exclusive easement to access his property only. The fence goes beyond that and should be stopped.

Can I build a fence on open space and claim the area as mine?? I think not, take it down! And and airstrip, are you kidding me??

I am dead set against anyone using public land for his/ her own benefit. IT IS NOT ONLY THE DRIVEWAY LAND USE, BUT THE APPROACH TO THE "LANDING STRIP" WOULD BE THE AIRSPACE ABOVE MY BACKYARD!!.......and everyone else's recreational open space!....Nevermind the noise from the airplane coming and going. THIS MUST BE STOPPED!

An airstrip? C'mon! Insane to even consider--it's a totally inappropriate use of public lands by a private individual. Please put a stop to this now and take down the fence as well (at owners expense please--taxpayers should not be obliged to pay for his selfish defiance).

The fence is an eyesore. The air strip should be opposed. Public open space is not meant to be used as an air strip.

I find it bad faith constructing the fence prior to the administrative process being completed. I don't know why he needs a fence in the middle of open space to keep us off the road and force us onto the vegetation and habitat of the animals in the area.. Maybe Mr. Sawer has a good reason, but believe in a good faith effort to come to an understanding of how to best address his needs.

Landing aircraft on our public open space is ludicrous. It is time for Jeffco to wake up and use the county's resources to oppose everything this individual wants to do in our open space other than what is clearly within his legal rights. A fence is NOT allowed with a non-exclusive driveway easement, it is not an "improvement" as contemplated by the original easement agreement.

This fence is an unnecessary eyesore and is damaging the enjoyment of public space.
