I am repeatedly shocked by the behavior of this man! What an embarrassment to the Sullivan County Legislature and citizens of Sullivan County. Bye bye!

This petition is not about removing Mr. Doughty from the SC Legislature. It is about requesting the legislators to replace Mr. Doughty with another legislator as chair. The years of Mr. Doughty’s leadership have been marked by chaos, unscrupulous decisions, and bullyism. He did not pay his taxes until publicly exposed and advocated for the sale and privatization of the county nursing home, OUR nursing home, resulting in poorer patient care, understaffed conditions, etc. The decline of the quality of care is no surprise. SC taxpayers have virtually lost their control of their nursing home. Let’s hope the legislators have the courage to find a calmer, more insightful leader. That will take guts. Write to your legislator to ask him/her to turn this tide. Otherwise, SC will be in worse trouble than it already is. Too many severe problems.
