I’ve been going to the football games at fort Walton since I was 7 years old, my dad is alumni and played for our schools first district team. I myself am in my senior year and I’ve found myself so frustrated at our football team. We have students with clear potential and talent in the area of football but it gets wasted at our school when our boys lack the proper guidance they need to get to the top.

It hurts to see that for the past 7 years we have lost against choctaw and for half of them, dorn is to fault. I hate hearing how much these boys hate football because of him. its upsetting. Coach Dorns previous school’s record before he came to FWBHS was a 1-9. Year 2018-2019, we are also 1-9. its been like this for a while... we need a new coach.

Please do the right thing by these young men. My son played for 4 years two under Coach Owen, one under Coach Johnson and 1 under dorn. The difference in the atmosphere in the locker room and on the field was night and day after dorn came. This man is a cancer to the boys and the program. He would never address the parent's concerns let alone speak to them in person. He should have been gone. Those boys have suffered enough.

You guys are a bunch of softies, if y’all were good and had work ethic colleges would be looking at y’all no matter what so don’t blame something on a coach, face it talent at fort Walton won’t get better and I went there, you will have some people that really know what’s going on and really want to succeed and then half of them are there to just say they got a “name” don’t throw everything on a coach if you had talent you’d be doing something with it and shutting up Niceville and Choctaw and getting a district championship

Knowing the athletic ability of the students versus the coaching ability of the coach is disgusting. So many athletes are being denied opportunities for furthering their education by means of scholarships, opportunities to further their athletic opportunities in college, and simply having pride in their last season as seniors who were a part of a successful athletic program. Keeping this coach as long as he has been kept is honestly disturbing and disgusting. The students, alumni, and fanbase deserve more. Youth is being robbed. How can this be justified? What has he accomplished to justify his being in his position? The news media is inches from being all over this. Enjoy the publicity.

I think he is a good person but not a good coach. I am a senior this year. It’s been hard to watch our football team lose every game my whole high school carrier. I’d hate for that to be passed down. I truly believe this season, we could’ve beat almost every team we lost to if the plays were called different by Dorn. Many players gave up hope of winning after the 3rd game. I do not think he should continue as head coach for FWBHS.
