I have owned 2 pit bull in my lifetime and they are the sweetest most loyal dogs I have ever owned. I have also been bit 3 times all by little dogs and I don't see a ban on them.

I have 3 pits that are the biggest love bugs. I've fostered and adopted the breed and trust my life and my family's lives with my dogs

If a dog is loved, if he is mistreated he will still try do anything to please the owner. It is not in a dog's nature to be vicious, it is their nature to love and try to please. Their nature is loyalty. They don't have a choice who raises them. Get put bulls in loving homes so you can see what they are made of..

Ban stupid people, NOT dogs.
Punish the deed not the breed.
These are both appropriate sayings in this case. Just like with guns,the wrong people are going to get their hands on them. This is keeping good owners from adopting/owning good dogs. This ban is keeping these dogs from having a home but instead either living their life in a shelter or even worse death row. The law was changed 3 years ago but Mansfield still hasn't lifted the ban. I think we have a people problem, not a pit bull problem. If all small dog bites were reported like bigger breed bites, we would see a decrease in gearing about pit bulls.
Lift the ban and allow these dogs to be adopted by responsible, loving families.

Having bans against certain breeds is an absurd idea. It's not the breed it's the owners and how they're raised!

There is NO specific breed that is vicious or dangerous, they ALL just want love, the dangerous and vicious breed is called HUMANS who mistreat the animals.
They are loving dogs
