Dear Beech Bluff Neighbors,
I am asking for you to sign this Petition which asks the Cabarrus County School Board to remove Beech Bluff from Option 2 on the County's Reassignment proposal. The reasons for this support is based on the following:
1) Currently there are only 7 Children in our Neighborhood attending Cox Mill Elementary
2) Cox Mill Elementary is only 1.3 miles form our Neighborhood
3) We would increase our travel time to Odell Primary by triple and Odell Secondary even more.
4) Increase traffic passing International School and the intersection at Eastway and Harris Road

Seeing this kind of movement is exhausting but it proves that our neighbors refuse to accept these changes quietly. I am taking a breath tonight but the work to protect our community remains just as difficult as it was when this began.

I totally agree the children in Beech Bluff need to stay at Cox Mill Elementary School. There are very few children in our neighborhood that go thereand the fact that we are so close to the school makes it apparent that it is in the best interest for the children to complete their elementary years at Cox Mill.
Our family recently moved into the neighborhood, largely because of the highly rated and convenience of location to the Cox Mill elementary school. We have a daughter who will be going there, and we would be very devastated if the school zones will be relocated.
The reasons stated clearly show why it makes so much more sense for Beech Bluff kids to continue attending Cox Mill Elementary.
We literally border the school!!! Makes no sense!
It makes NO SENSE to move our neighborhood children to Odell.
My grand daughter lives with us and goes to Cox Mill. It is very important to us that she stays there.

I agree that Beech Bluff should stay at Cox Mill for all of the reasons that John Leadingham has stated. It makes no sense for our neighborhood to travel farther through the traffic that is already crazy because of all the schools on the road. In addition, by moving those people traveling to Cox Mill from Skybrook neighborhoods to Odell schools, it might actually relieve some of the traffic flowing east on Poplar Tent in the mornings and afternoons.
