Maybe the new owners of this fence should walk the foot path and answer honestly that this improves the look of their land?
How sad that this allowed to remain in place spoiling such a place of natural beauty, apart for all the practical reasons given.

What purpose does this fence serve? What is wrong with an ordinary wire ( not barbed ) fence. Why are the council waiting for people, pets and/or wild animals to become ripped open by this barbaric barrier? It is reminiscent of beach defences in the war! Surely there is someone on the WSCC who has some common sense!

Remove barbwire it's dangerous to dogs and wildlife. Put another fence up if it's that necessary BUT NOT barbwire

I can't understand why the order was rescinded as it contravenes the Highways act. Barbed wire is dangerous to both the many people and dogs who regularly walk here. Stock fencing would be a far more friendly and safer way of keeping people and animals off his land.

This barbed wire is so dangerous for the dogs, they can't always see the wire and it will cause such a serious injury if they run into it. Please support this petition and get it removed. If necessary put up stock fencing,less harm to dogs and children.

Once the grasses and other plants grow up this will be even more hazardous as it will be harder to see the barbed wire. It is so dangerous and needs to be removed.

Better it is a normal upright fence if there has to be one. This version is just a hazard and by the grass grows in the spring the lower line will be dangerously hidden

This fence in such a spot is an affront to the area and the people who enjoy the bay. One can draw your own conclusions about the landowner.

When (not if) someone gets hurt, the landowner will have no defence. They have a duty of care to everyone, even trespassers, under UK law. WSCC have failed miserably here. This barbed wire must be removed asap. There are many more appropriate fencing options. This is just nasty.

This is an accident waiting to happen. Any 'animal' can be seriously hurt from humans to pets to wildlife. Being private land is not an excuse. It directly affects a public walkway.

An absolute eyesore & an accident waiting to happen. This fence is a serious hazard to people & animals, particularly the young & old.
It will be even more dangerous in summer when the lower wire (s) will be covered by long grass.

This barbed wire can be dangerous for dogs and children. The pathway is not wide enough for children and dogs to run safely without encountering the barbed wire.

What an absolutely inappropriate and unnecessary form of boundary fencing.
This path is used by adults, children, cyclists (sometimes) the elderly, dog walkers. This fencing is very dangerous and will have very little purpose other than causing injury.

Having regularly walked my dogs along this beautiful coast path for several years I have now started to avoid this particular area in fear of mine and other dogs safety. This fencing which is in this AONB is an eyesore as well as being dangerous to both humans and animals and needs removing.
