The dog I borrow got through the wire fencing. He was then stuck. I had to climb over the barbed wire and lift him back over. This caused clothing to tear and a scratched arm. What useful purpose does the barbed wire serve?

Real concerns over safety with the barbed wire. Needs to be replaced with proper fencing.

Now the grass has grown over the lowest strand of barbed-wire it is not visible to dogs or children. My dog snagged on it today, fortunately by its collar. Come on WSCC, it is just not acceptable or, I suspect, legal to put a hazard like this so close to a footpath. There has to be a better and safe way to do this.

Please remove this fence as it is of significant danger to both man and beast.

An accident waiting to happen - it is hard to imagine the individual who might not only THINK this is appropriate but actually put it into operation. Shame on you.

The fence is a hideous eyesore and it is difficult to see what useful purpose it serves. A fence along the the bottom of the bank would be much less obtrusive.

This is a very offensive and unnecessary fence that spoils an otherwise excellent walk.

I've lived in southbourne my whole life and love prinsted beach. The wire that has recently been placed around the sea front is dangerous to kids and dogs it's to low down and is sharp. The person who put it up is inconsiderate of others and clearly isn't respectful towards the wildlife in that area or the person's who admire it.

The structure is extremely dangerous for children, frail adults and animals. The structure MUST be removed as a matter of urgency. In addition, the structure looks extremely out of place in area of outstanding natural beauty.

I was walking my dog a few days ago when she started to play with another dog. The dogs become excited and ran under the wire. My do is quite large and is head height at the first line of wire. She was in hot pursuit of the smaller dog and I had to shout very assertive to stop her from running into the wire as she played. The impact would have sustained injuries to the head and possibly the eyes if I had not been able to control the situation. I would very much like to know where one lies legally concerning any injure sustained by human or animal under these circumstances.

I visit this area to see friends and relations and some of us have mobility challenges. Being so close to the footpath this barbed wire is a serious danger to dogs and walkers and should be removed immediately.

Totally inappropriate fencing for a public coastal walk; dangerous and ugly. No excuse unless the landowner is warding off enemy landing from the sea!

Not only is it ugly, it's dangerous to animals and children. It spoils the beauty of Prinstead and we shouldn't have to look at it let alone keep our animals and children away from it!
