removal of traffic commissioner powers
removal of traffic commissioners powers to suspend, revoke driving licences
when you get an offence like an SP30 and after you have paid the fixed penalty and received the points, you are called up to the traffic commissioner nearly 3 years after the fact and she decides to suspend your licence while under a high court ruling this can only happen for a maximum of 21 days.
the information I have is that the traffic commissioner can suspend a licence for up to 48 months, they can also revoke a licence and this should be left to a court of law.
also they are traffic commissioners of Great Britain so why isn't their one on Northern Ireland as that is part of great Britain like Scotland, England and Wales.
