Clearly something needs to happen as this is such a rort. What other consumable item is open to such volatile pricing the retail price is of little relevance to the production cost

Australian government and fuel companies are scum!!

When your nearest government agencies are hours and hundreds of km away and it's a choice of feeding your family or puting fuel in your vehicle to go complain about lack of services and needing help, there is no choice. Most complaints fall on deaf ears anyway.

Mackay fuel for diesel has risen in the past 8 months from 1.15 pl to 1.53 pl, cheapest in town.

I'm a full time student struggling to get through life at the moment. Everything the government does has set and full time university student up to fail. The Centrelink youth allowance payments are not enough to get through the week, I'm running myself into the ground trying to work a minimum of 30 hours a week on top of 40 hours of uni a week, plus all external requirements. Now the fuel price, so now, not only are we to struggle with everything else, but now it's going to be close to not worth traveling 45 minutes to and from work in my car because I would end up loosing money as public transport doesn't run at the hours of my job.
