Fuel prices have become a joke. It is feeding the pockets of the greedy. The government needs to do something and soon.

The struggle is so hard something has to be done. Wages don't keep up with inflation and now fuel is a $1.69 a liter how can we survive this. Im better off unemployed as I spend most of my wage trying to support my family on fuel and food. I can't remember the last time we as a family had any fun. This government is sucking the life out of us and it has to stop. The government can make changes to the gst and fuel but won't.

Soon l may not be able to get to work let alone take my kids anywhere. How can they jump uo 20 to 30c a litre and then drop 10c a litre when people start complaining. Absolutely rubbish.

With the ridiculous price of petrol and diesel now choking household and business budgets it's time for the Australian governments to step in cap the Excise duty and remove the GST. No doubt this will reduce government revenue BUT it will free up money to be spent by Australians into many other sectors. It's appalling that the household budget for petrol now competes significantly against food and home loans/rents in a way that is starting to cripple the lives of those who are not wealthy enough to be ignorant of petrol prices. Oil cartels around the world are bloating on their greed and indifference. It's time that Australia's politicians do what THEY'RE ELECTED TO DO and that is to GOVERN for the PEOPLE OF AUSTRALIA and NOT KOWTOW to greed driven cartels and corporations who don't care for anything except their bottomless bank accounts.

Both federal & state governments should be ashamed how we are being ripped off for petrol in our once great country. They don't care because the dearer it is the more taxes they collect. I know who I will be voting for and it's NOT the 3 major parties. Wake up Australia.

It's about time they stopped ripping us off,it should be alot cheaper,we have oil in Bass straight and other places in Australia,why pay the same price as Singapore??

Fuel prices aren't standardised and are too high in general. The price between townships 15 minutes apart range from 30c to 60c a litre differently. (Hunter Valley)
