Removal of the Bay st Viaduct area 1st district alcohol overlay

We are asking the City of Savannah to remove the Bay Street Viaduct area from the 1st District Alcohol Overlay.
This outdated restriction prevents businesses in the area from obtaining alcohol licenses, which limits growth, discourages investment, and holds back community development.
Removing the overlay will:
Support minority-owned and community-driven businesses
Encourage new business and job creation in a historically underserved area
Attract out-of-town investors, promoters, and entertainment groups
Increase tourism and foot traffic to the western edge of downtown
Promote arts, culture, and local talent through more concerts and events
Help revitalize a neglected corridor with unique charm and cultural value
Create more inclusive and equitable economic opportunities in Savannah
