You're more than welcome. And good luck with your petition. 22,000 residents in the district! Too bad those signing haven't voiced their concerns the proper way. This petition is sending the wrong message to our students and detracting from the COMMON mission at hand, getting kids back to in-school instruction. Embarrassing.

You call it a rant, I call it an important message. There is no agenda here. Regardless of political party, election results must be honored. Let's be honest here, people signing this petition are upset because they're misconstruing her message as conflicting with their beliefs. If you're upset because your questions weren't answered, starting a petition to remove a Board Member ELECTED by our community is nothing more than harassment and character assassination. Mr. Scofield read your questions, The Board requested a copy of the written answer from the administrator responding to your questions and Scofield stated that he has had discussions with you. If you haven't received a response yet, maybe you should respectfully follow the proper channels instead of starting a smear campaign.

I don’t need my School Board Officials lecturing me on how to vote or bring political issues to our School Board. I’m offended the board let her speak on the topic of our ex-President for so long. Doesn’t matter what your political views are, you are there for the children. Children of Democratic or Republican parents.

This is alarming and the children of Elma, Marilla, and Wales deserve FAR better. No matter what your opinion is on the legitimacy of the recent presidential election, we should all agree that political beliefs have no place in a situation like this.

With all due respect Ms. Valvo, it was a four and a half minute rant questioning the integrity of elected officials from school board member to president if they don’t share the same political view as Ms. Hovey. I was actually one of only eleven that viewed this meeting in its entirety live that evening. I strongly encourage as many parents as possible to view this meeting in its entirely as you have recommended and I can assure you that most parents will be even more outraged than they were after viewing this small segment. While you are viewing the video, please watch closely at the 1:02 minute mark as I was the only person that sent in three questions regarding the actual school and students. There was a one second pause after my three questions were read, not one member answered my questions and they moved on to the next subject. So please explain as these children have not been in school full time for nearly one year, how in the world you can justify a political rant that lasts over four minutes and when the one and only question that was brought up regarding the kids and school (at a School Board meeting don’t forget) was completely ignored and I have yet to receive an answer.

Bullying a School Board Member? Is this what you teach your children? Michele Hovey's 2 minute heartfelt statement is being taken out of context to support the agenda of others. Take the time to read the minutes and watch the ENTIRE board meeting instead of the 2 minute excerpt shared by The Financial Guys. If you have concerns about in school instruction, sports and activities, this is NOT the way to go about it. Shame.
