What in the world do people’s political views have to do with getting our children back to in person learning?!? That should be the focus of these board meetings. Not an “elected officials” personal opinion.

What a spectacular show! Please keep the likes of this away from my children and spare us the embarrassing, tearful public diatribes. Let the WILL of the PEOPLE ring true whenever it is questioned and not be swept under the rug by any who lack the wisdom of our ways and the moral fortitude to teach our children how to keep it.

If she can’t table her personal agenda and get down to the process at hand which needs everyone’s undivided attention ... she should resign... The school board meeting is no place for such emotional instability

Our children have not had in person education 5 days a week since March 2020. THIS 5 minute disquisition is completely out of line for a BOARD member. ESPECIALLY when you have not figured out how to successfully bring the children back 5 days a week. Ms. Hovey please resign. If you care at all for Iroquois step down now.

Followings the Presidential election in 2016 Ms Hoovey went on FB and reprimanded her FB community for Not supporting her and her family by electing President Trump to office. Ms. Hoovey further engaged in questioning the results of the 2016 election referencing foreign interference by Russia, what we now know as a false narrative. The fact that Ms. Hoovey is now publicly stating that our election results should be accepted, and that millions of her fellow Americans are to be condemned for voicing the very concerns she herself once purported, is both hypothetical and unacceptable for an elected official. The concerns that Ms. Hoovey’s political views are impacting her abilities to act fairly and impartiality in her role as a School Board Member seem obvious. There are many families within our community who support and voted for President Trump. These individuals must not feel ostracized in their right to voice their political beliefs. An elected officer such as Ms. Hoovey is remiss in making such broad statements which may unfairly impact students and families, opening them up to discrimination. For this reason I am signing this petition for the removal of Ms. Hoovey from the Iroquois School Board.

She should be more worried about the children and less about her own personal political beliefs also she should understand that it’s a constitutional right to question the vote particularly when so many signs point to a fraudulent election

This should not be a part of the school board discussion. I believe in teaching our children to have their own beliefs and supporting their decision. America is about freedom of speech.

How about we tear up about the quality of education our students are currently receiving, the students’ mental health struggles due to shutdowns, and inability to play sports?! What are you doing to address that as an elected board member-the position you volunteered for to what seems as to discuss your political views?!
