I find the news absolutely disgusting. As mentioned above, Celtic fc was formed to help poor families. I'm not at all happy that a lord is part of the board in the first place as I'm a yes voter for Scotland independence and despise the Tory government and everything to do with them. Dermot Desmond claims to be a Celtic man - surely hell do the right thing and remove him from the board

Our club was born to feed the poor and impoverished of Glasgows East ENd. It's the very core and the heart of the football club and to have this man ruining our good name and voting against working tax credits of the hardworking people who shouldn't be in poverty in the first place is pissing all over the beliefs of every fan and the memory of brother walfrid. Our club is not about money it's about something more it's the Celtic way and this man clearly doesn't understand this. He doesn't deserve to be affiliated with the club I hold so dear to my heart

As a Rangers fan i wholeheartedly support the views of the Celtic fans expressed in this petition. Brother Walfrid would be furious with this man. The ideals of the club should come before his personal choice in that vote at the house of lords.
