Totally unacceptable how we was left to defend ourselves while the police sat back and done nothing. Not their fault but I blame the colonel for sitting back and not allowing our HB saps to intervene. Totally disgusting and an embarrassment to this country.

The general lack of responsibility taken by SAPS Hout Bay during the recent civil unrest is disgraceful (Station Commander Lt Col Nebhisi's lack of initiative and leadership) The police are there to uphold the law - ALWAYS, not just when it suits them to do so. It is unacceptable that the residents of Hout Bay were taken hostage, peoples lives threatened and property damaged, all the while while active requests for assistance were being denied. Something has to be done about this !

All citizens have a right to feel safe & a station commanders duty is to uphold the rule of law. Politics has no place in your place of employment - without tax payers she would not be employed

It is disgraceful, these are civil servants and apart from that we pay our rates and taxes and receive shocking service from SAPS!!

During the protests in Hout Bay the local police Station Commander made no effort at all to contain the situation and when our suburb was being invaded by an aggressive mob, turning cars over, breaking windows, the local police station did not send a single person to assist. The protests had been ongoing for two days before that and it is incredible that she washed her hands completely of the needs. She told one of our residents over the phone that it is not her concern to act on protests.

Being held hostage in your own Town for 3 days is unacceptable. I had guests from abroad who were unable to return home on their planned flights and had to resort to protecting myself and my neighbours against hooligans running riot in Penzance. Unacceptable!!!

The inaction and public distancing of the station commander caused a lot of mateial and emotional damage for which she should be held personally liable.
