The negligent response by the Hout Bay colonel and SAPS to the protests that turned violent on Monday contributed directly to the damage to private and public property and the threat to the safety of all residence of penzance estate. When the mob of angry, violent rioters tore through our estate there was no police presence protecting the residence which led to extreme acts of violence and destruction.

As a tax paying citizen of south africa I am entitled to protection by the SAPS. The police were totally negligent in the recent riots by not offering any protection to our community whilst it was under threat. This is not acceptable.

Plz make whatever necessary changes to put someone in charge that can actually do the job and effect positive change. We, the residents of Penzance were held hostage to the recent drama that happened... We are the very people who helped after the fire.
