This is sheer lunacy. Close the school like it’s been done for every other election!!!!

Don’t allow random people in a school to vote when COVID is still a problem

Per CDC guidelines for schools outside visitors are not permitted into the building. Please adhere to what is necessary to keep everyone safe.

I do not believe the children should be attending school on Election Day.

Let's be safe! keep the kids home, if we need to let's go remote for that day. Do a deep cleaning prior to the kids returning or move the polls somewhere else. Outside, away from the kids. SAFETY FIRST!! THAT'S PRIORITY!!! Let's prevent another school closure. Not only do we need to protect our kids, we should protect the teachers/administrations that are there daily. Parents or any other visitors are not allowed in the school so why should the general public be allowed in? IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE!!!

Please offer remote learning for all on Election Day. This is not safe.

Why is this even being considered? We need new leadership in Troy! The Troy government offices are not even open but this is a choice? Wow.

Kind of sad that we even need to do a petition for this. Should just be closed for voting or school closed. The best interest of the kids and staff should be first and foremost.

If parents are kept from school due to Covid precautions, then strangers should not be there when kids are.

Ridiculous to be open when there is no entry of outside guests in the school but all these strangers can go in around our children umm not ok .

As the turnout for a presidential election will no doubt be large and contact tracing will be impossible and as visitors are not allowed to PS16, school should not be in session that day or the polling machines should be outside in the back parking lot.
