Hello my name is Crystal Conley I am writing a petition to try to help my sister (Wendy Sprouse) who is serving a 22 1/2 year sentence for embezzlement for a non violent crime. She is at the Virginia Correctional Center for Women.She has paid the entire restitution; she served 1/3 of her time (6years) all ready. Wendy knows what she did was wrong and is very sorry for her actions.She is not a bad person, she just made some bad choices in which she is paying for. She has missed so much over the passed 6 years that she realized the hurt she has caused everyone. I feel like the time she received was severe. She did not commit a violent crime against anybody or murder anyone, but she still received the punishment that a violent crime or a murderer would have gotten. In my heart I feel like the time she has served has changed her life. Give her a chance to make it right.
