In the ongoing discussion about the problems at, and future of, Bryan College, it has become apparent that the college administration has not shown the accreditation report from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to the whole Board of Trustees. It is our contention that a Board of Trustees cannot make an informed decision about the future of Bryan College as long as the accreditation report is being withheld from the complete board. Therefore, the undersigned faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends of Bryan College are calling upon the college administration to release the SACS report immediately to every member of the board. We are also calling upon every individual board of trustees member to read the entire report for himself or herself.
The administration at Bryan College can no longer pretend that this is a fringe concern now that so many of us are demanding transparency. They are hiding the SACS report because they know the full Board of Trustees would not tolerate their reckless behavior if the truth came to light.

It should be standard procedure for complete copies of the SACS Report to be sent immediately to every member of the BOT upon receipt. The filtering of information through the administration/BOT chairman before reaching the rest of the BOT and lack of transparency is a red flag for those of us who have worked in/founded Christian ministries with BOT guidelines requiring transparency and accountability.

Class of '82. The SACS Report must be distributed to the full BOT without delay, and impartial analysis of it must be undertaken by the BOT. If not you, who? If not now, when? If not for Bryan's future, why are you on the BOT?

Should I be worried that we have to sign a petition to get the BOTs to their job?? Do they realize they are responsible for this institution (Bryan College)???

I do believe without reservation that the entire Board of Trustees needs to read the SACS report and have someone unbiased/knowledgeable interpret the results. I have discussed the report with those connected to the college and others who are not and the result has been the same: we are truly in grave danger of losing our school. It is indeed The Board's responsibility to take serious steps and immediate action to prevent Bryan from closing its doors. On a side note, thank you Tom Varney for enthusiastically signing this three times!!

please read the report. How can you make an informed decision without all the information? People are suffering, and food is being taken from the mouthes of many children because of this; please don't let it continue

The Board needs to abide by the charter and fulfill the stipulated duties, with all necessary haste. The Charter stipulates that the board "shall be the exclusive and ultimate source of authority in all matters pertaining to the college, its government, and conduct."

How is it possible that this critical report related to the future effectiveness of our college has not been shared with the entire board?
