On 2/16/2017 approximately 10:35 pm, a traffic stop was made in which a Fritch Police Officer allowed an unauthorized passenger with violent tendencies to possess a loaded firearm while the officer initiated contact with a citizen. It was the third time this officer had stopped this citizen for the same violation. The officer searched the vehicle without reasonable suspicion or probable cause and found nothing. The passenger also used TCIC/NCIC to run the plates on the citizen's vehicle. These are blatant violations of law. The citizens of Fritch, Texas and this country deserve to see this video!
Good officers should not be penalized for doing the right thing.... especially where other officers are concerned. Speak up and demand to know the truth!!!
This petition will be sent to Police Chief Houston Gass and the City of Fritch if enough signatures are obtained.

Seeing this kind of movement confirms that people are finally refusing to look away from what happened to me that night. My family and I are overwhelmed by the momentum building behind this search for the truth.

Penalizing officers for doing the right thing is ridiculous. In a world where belief in the police department is eroding due to the media's coverage of unethical officers, it is absolutely counterproductive to be anything but absolutely transparent in these situations. I am disturbed that an officer would be fired for following the rules and trying to keep people safe. Absolutely disgusting.
This is what is wrong with our Country, the police/government wants to hid behind National Security when if they just released the video in question, they would see they were wrong. But guess it is just too hard for them to admit when they are wrong. Shame, Shame....
Release. Video. Sole purpose of camera is to protect the wronged. If you have nothing to hide this will put it all to rest.
Why not show the video and prove us wrong? If there is nothing to hide, and you stand by your decision with clear conscience then there is nothing but excuses not to show the video!
Release the video. If there's nothing to hide...there's no reason to withhold it.
I am a tax payer, release the video, we have a right too see it.

Release the VIDEO.....the bad amongst us should be punished....brought to JUSTICE.. This has moved way beyond a few bad apples....why are you allowing THIS? There are evil folks in every organization on the planet !! By allowing even this truth to slip past ,YOU EMBOLDEN THOSE WHO ARE OUT TO DO EVEN MORE EVIL ...WHO ARE WATCHING YOUR EVERY MOVE....TO STEP UP AND COMMIT EVEN MORE HARM.. IF THIS IS PERMITTED TO CONTINUE WILL YOU STILL BE ABLE TO CALL YOURSELVES HUMAN...CHRISTIAN... AMERICAN!!!
