@Tesla_did Commit_Fraud: No more so than gas cars are dangerous. All three cars that burned were involved in collisions at highway speeds--and the car in Mexico was rumored to be driving over 100 mph before it hit the wall. Yet the driver and all passengers walked away without injury! The Model S is proving to be the safest car on the road. If you don't believe it, name one that is safer.

The Howard G. Smith case summary reads like a complete joke. "The lawsuit alleges that the Company told investors that its cars were safe while knowing or in willfull disregard of the fact that its cars are not safe." Name a safer car in this class! "the Company announced lower than expected third quarter earnings." Expected by who? Tesla exceeded their guidance--a couple analysts guessed the results would be even higher and that merits a suit? I hope these lawsuits are rejected and/or the lawyers lose their shirt in the process.

This lawsuit is a bunch of malarkey. I reject it and fully intend to purchase a Tesla in the future. There is no design defect that compromises safety. The fact that it achieved the best crash safety rating ever says it all.

Suits like this are so annoying, claiming to protect investors but really being motivated by the desire for attorneys fees awards out of any settlement that might come from the suit. The suit will be followed by masses of discovery information requests that will cost investors a bundle because the company must respond to defend itself. There is no merit in this case.
