Urge the Sub-Executive of United Church, Toronto Conference to reject the recommendations of the Conference Interview Committee Re: Gretta Vosper

dialogue is important in any organization that supports varied values

The Church needs the courage and integrity that Gretta Vosper has demonstrated

I'm shocked at the persecution of this wise woman. No wonder religion is dying. . . it's becoming a tool of persecution, not love.

The Pharisees at UCC have committed atrocity.

I wish to support Gretta Vosper who is giving us the opportunity to rethink our beliefs re God and The United Church of Canada which has always promoted inclusivity. Let's be a positive force in the evolutionary process of becoming compassionate human beings.

Gretta is a voice of compassion, love, and wisdom that guides us within the ever-evolving world of theological insight. We need Gretta's voice to be heard.

Gretta is fantastic, she is a wonderful pastor who deserves to be reinstated and I reject the toronto Conference and their recommendations.

Greta is an inspiration to those of us feeling locked out from our congregations. Many of us are afraid to voice because we will be looked upon as heritics.

Now is the time to look at the heart and how people manifest that love. What we believe is a construct of the mind, an ongoing hypothesis of all that is. How can it possibly define us?

I am an Australian who has heard Gretta and I thank her for the inspiration and courage that she has given me. She is one of the new bright lights that shine in the murky theological world that is slowly fading into outdated creeds.

Greta Vosper is a spiritual, thoughtful person whose writings and thinking has helped me tremendously. She is a true spiritual leader, more so than any other minister.

A-theist: Not against God , but against theists...those who believe in the "orthodox " and have no room for a contemporary exploration.

In the words of Bp J Spong, 'Christianity must change or die'.

Gretta is not an atheist in the sense that she doesn't believe in God. Gretta is an a-theist in the sense that she doesn't believe in the traditional view of God. We need to include room in our denominations for those who seek to grow in their understanding of God. Gretta helps us to do this.

Gretta has forced us to face into the the absurdity of "worshiping" of a theistic god we don't believe in.

The churches will all be out of business in 50 years if they don't give up their dogma from the 2,000 years ago. God is not "a God" but us better referred to as the Life Force Energy of the Universe.

In the words of John Shelby Spong: "Christianity Must Change Or Die".

Why someone with the support that Gretta has, finds herself in this situation is beyond my understanding

From the "Land down under" I thank Gretta Vosper sincerely for her refreshing and re-invigorating views.

It is time for us to define the word atheism more clearly. For many of us,practising Christians,believing in a god being who dwells in the sky is no longer an option.
