Reject the $800 burial fee for the Wimauma Cemetery

There still isn't a fence, the graves are always unkept and no one excepts reasonability for it. No comes out for cemetery clean up but the few couple of people in the community. Us seniors cant afford that price.

Most people cannot afford $850. The price is beyond the amount for the average person in Wimauma community to pay. Why $850.? We do not need that much money to keep the cemetery clean.

I do understand that an increase may need to take place but what happened to the people coming together to discuss financials and take a look at reports to make decisions?

I disagree, its already hard enough for some people to pay 350 and now you want to increase payment for what!? Its not like the money goes for upkeep or anything as it should.

My questions are : why so high. Most people who stay out there can't afford that price and the cost of a funeral and other materials. If, they can't afford this , then what?? Is the price competitive with other cemeteries?? Everyone out there doesn't life insurance. Then,will the community come together and help pay for the grave site and funeral???? I ask all these questions because I've seen some really strange things out there, in the cementery. i.e. : Repositions.... Please, look at the community as a whole, or make the fees as competitive as possible. You're not going to satisfy everyone's needs but it doesn't hurt to try.......

No. Whoever this new Pastor of our community and over , I still call generation 2nd Baptist apparently don't care for the few of us that are left and don't know the history that are buried out there. It's showing he doesn't care. Who's left, don't have it like that. Wimauma is now 75% Mexicans, it is now new Honduras people moving in, and what you have left to get $800 out of that is Afrian/Indian Americans. Now I do agree to help pay something for up keep, but that is a little too steep to be putting in someone a little extra in pockets. Let's keep it going like it started already having our community day clean ups and up keeps like WE ALL should for our love ones that have departed. WE CAN DO THIS WIMAUMA COMMUNITY, WE CAN. Let's at least try to put the time in first. Please. $800 is a too steep, but we should pay something towards burial. What about $500? Adding an extra $250 to go with inflation, new decade and things towards the church is not bad. Burials need to be done the right way out there. They are even not placing the holes straight. They are being dug crook it. If we keep doing a little at a time, we can have it looking good in no time. I vote NO.

No to the bury fee of $800 if by any chance the family can not pay the $800 there family member can not an will not be laid to rest in Wimauma community Cemetery Per Samuel Badger pastor of First Prospect MB Church.
