Thank you Council members voting NO on the garage land acquisition and garage design and/or construction. I live in Olde Naples 34102 and very seldom experience a sufficient parking issue which would disuade me from dining, banking or shopping on 5th. Keeping the current character and scale of Naples makes me a one issue voter with a long memory.

There was a good reason for creating the existing zoning regulations: to allow Olde Naples to keep its charm. It is completely wrong to override the zoning code.

Please vote NO on purchasing the parcels on 4th and 4th and vote NO on constructing a parking garage on this property. You will be creating congested streets!
Residential interests vote. Commercial interests let money invalidate our votes and quality of life.

I am very opposed to buying the land for this massacre garage in the dark of August. To the general public, it looks like influence and power has been involved. Why not discuss it next week and hold a vote latter? This garage too could be a
magnet for beach parking for thousands of people to our east. As a 45 year voting resident, if this deal slides in next week, I believe the approval to buy this land and build this garage will forever taint the good name of our city council. Naples will lose prestige in general. Sad to me. Why not just postpone a vote? Do the right thing here. Think about the ethics of doing this this way. Respectfully, Fred Garner.
